Report Qualifying Nürburgring
The fastest in today's qualification for the Nürburgring Classic was Haralds Šlēgelmilhs.
BOSS GP FORMULA Pro:
Haralds Šlēgelmilhs (LAT, HS Engineering) set the fastest time of the morning with an impressive 1:40.645 in the Dallara World Series V8 T12 Evo. This puts the experienced Latvian on pole position for both races with a rolling start. In second place is ex-aequo championship leader Simone Colombo (ITA, MM International) in the Dallara GP2/11. The two drivers previously fought a thrilling duel at the season opener in Hockenheim.
Despite gearbox problems on the practice day, Michael Fischer (AUT, Red Rose Racing Team) made it into Q1 and qualified in third place on the grid today. Marco Ghiotto (ITA, Scuderia Palladio) is in fourth place, ahead of Max Cuccarese (ITA, MM International) in the newest car on the grid, F2 with Turbo engine, and BOSS GP rookie Thomas Zeltner (SUI, Scuderia Palladio).
BOSS GP FORMULA:
Paul O'Connell (HS Engineering, IRL) was the fastest in the FORMULA class once again. However, as he was making his debut on the Nürburgring circuit, he found it slightly more challenging than the Hockenheimring. His rivals, Andreas Fiedler (GER, Fiedler Racing) and Stefan Eisinger-Sewald (AUT, Red Rose Racing), who finished behind O'Connell, were both hoping for a little chance in the races.
BOSS GP F1 Class:
Ulf Ehninger (GER, ESBA-Racing) came out on top in the prestigious F1 class. After experiencing temperature issues with his Benetton B197 during yesterday's free practice, the German performed well in qualifying. For many fans, his car is the highlight of the event.
BOSS GP SUPER LIGHTS
The one-two winner from Hockenheim, Stefan Scho (GER), dominated the class in the Lola Formula 3000 with a fastest time of 1:55.446. Henry Clausnitzer (GER, WF Racing) took second place in the Tatuus Formula Renault V6.
The race, including pre-event coverage, will be streamed live on YouTube from 15:35 local time.
