Double win for Klaas Zwart in BOSS GP, Daly and DeBlandre pick up wins in Masters Class

Race 2
The start of the second race was quite surprising. Klaas Zwart in pole position, second in line Marijn van Kalmthout and number three Peter Milavec all missed out on the leading position after the start. Instead, fourth man in line Ingo Gerstl drove to first position after taking advantage of a mistake from Zwart. “I accidentally shifted one time too much when the red lights went out. Therefore, the car didn’t start right away,” said the man who started from pole position.
Van Kalmthout and Zwart didn’t waste any time to restore the hierarchy though. Gerstl was being plagued by technical problems and both drivers overtook the Austrian in the first lap. Marijn managed to hold on the lead for several laps, but Zwart proved to be too fast in the fourth lap. “I left ‘Eau Rouge’ in a better position and had more speed on the straight end toward Les Combes,” reflected Zwart on his race. “I was able to come out of Marijn’s slipstream and used my brakes later than he did in Les Combes to go past him.”
“Klaas simply had more pace,” reacted Van Kalmthout.
Zwart was able to expand the gap with his rivals in the remainder of the race. “It was a great battle with Marijn,” said Zwart after the ceremony. “It was a fair battle. Marijn didn’t block me when I tried to go past him.”

Marijn van Kalmthout crossed the finish line in second position for the second time this weekend. ”I have done my utmost. My car isn’t damaged and that’s also quite important. The next race will already be in only two weeks at Circuit Park Zandvoort,” commented Van Kalmthout.
Henk de Boer finished in third position and was thus responsible for a completely Dutch podium. He started his race as the fifth man in line. “I’ve driven quite a nice race,” agreed De Boer. “I was always alert in the middle of the field and eventually moved into third position following the problems of Gerstl and Johnny Laursen”
