A great experience
Napione is still active in this kind of car racing game, which is less familiar to the general public. “It’s a great experience to go in for Hillclimbing. The mixture of speed, steep climbs and descends and an abundance of curves add an extra dimension to racing. I feel the adrenaline rush behind the wheel and to be honest, it is quite addictive.”

A full field of eighteen cars
Napione was pleasantly surprised by the BOSS GP organisation. “I must admit that the races at Monza were genuine eye-opener encounters. It was really great to be there. I am used to driving alone, as cars run individually in Hillclimbing, with drivers aiming for the fastest time.
For getting an adrenaline rush nothing can beat attacking a curve with a full field of eighteen cars, where different aspects are considered. I thoroughly enjoyed the race weekend and the professional approach was truly amazing. Every tiny little detail had been considered. The drivers get along like a house on fire and they are true friends, when they are not racing. But on the track it is different cup of tea: no driver will move over or give way. You must really get the best out of yourself and your car. It was a genuine eye-opener for me!”

Not my last race weekend
At Monza, Renzo Napione climbed behind the steering wheel of a fine Reynard Formula Nippon, with a Cosworth engine. “It was quite a new experience for me; in fact I had never experienced a weekend like this before. But I know for sure it was not my last race weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed it and tastes like more!”
