Thriller and track record during fantastic BOSS GP weekend at Red Bull Ring

An extremely tense opening race, a crash at the start of the second heat, a track record for Klaas Zwart and a double win for Marijn van Kalmthout.

BOSS GP’s visit to the Red Bull Ring in the Austrian city of Spielberg was rightly labelled ‘fantastic’. “It was simply amazing,” commented Marijn van Kalmthout. “And I can go even faster,” said new record holder Klaas Zwart.

It was the first time that the Big Open Single Seaters visited the Red Bull Ring. The track that’s located in the Austrian Alps was closed for years and re-opened some three-and-a-half months ago. “It’s a beautiful track, where you can hit the brake pedal at the very last moment,” is driver Henk de Boer enthusiastic. “Everything about racing comes into practice here.

The 135 degree corner to the right at the highest point of the circuit for example needs some serious braking and steering. That’s a great moment.”
