Jean-Claude Monbaron has two jumpsuits, one to race in and one to wear when he's working on his car

Eifelrennen
The two races at the Nürburgring during the ADAC Eifelrennen were quite different for Monbaron. He managed to finish in third position in the Masters Class in the first race of the weekend and had thus every reason to be happy. The second race was expected to be affected by the ongoing rain and all drivers had made adjustments to their cars in order to be ready for a race on a wet track. However, it stopped raining shortly before the start of the second race.
“It was mission impossible for me at that point. We had enough time to change the tires, but we simply lacked the time to make the other adjustments that were needed on a dry track. And driving on slicks with a car that has been prepared to drive on a wet track leads to nothing. You just can’t keep up with the other drivers in a situation like that.”
And Monbaron was right about that, as he was never really able to match the other cars regarding top speed. He was even forced to visit the pits to make some extra adjustments. “One great race and one ‘lost’ race, that’s part of auto racing,” reacted the satisfied Swiss.

Compliments
Jean-Claude Monbaron is very happy with the organization of the BOSS GP. “I really think that the organization is doing a fine job. All I have to do is to make sure that I’m present and that the car is ready for it, the organization of the BOSS GP-series takes care of all the rest. That’s what makes it so pleasant for us. I can do what I like best thanks to the BOSS GP-series, that’s simply fantastic!”
