Zwart holds on to perfect score despite strong comeback Van Kalmthout, Becker wins Masters Class

Masters
German driver Karl-Heinz Becker was the sovereign winner in the Masters Class. His red Dallara Nissan World Series was 30 seconds faster than French newbie Damien Charveriat. Portuguese driver Carlos Antunes Tavares finished in third position.
Needless to say Karl-Heinz Becker was a satisfied man. “Someone asked me whether I wanted to drive in a Formula 1 car when I was about 50-years-old. I answered that I was way too old for that. However, I’m 66-years-old now and I still enjoy participating in classes such as the BOSS GP. I’m an amateur driver and have to make do without the support of sponsors. My Dallara Nissan WS is fast enough to be competitive though.”

Damien Charveriat, the number two in the Masters Class: “I made my debut in the BOSS GP-series this weekend. I started the race a bit conservative, because I had yet to get to know my Dallara Nissan WS and the circuit. I’m very satisfied with this result and I will probably drive a bit more aggressive in the second race.”

Number three Carlos Antunes Tavares: “I’m happy to have made the podium. The two drivers who finished ahead of me were simply too fast. Finishing third was the best result possible for me.’’
