Klaas Zwart, 'Mr. BOSS'
Jaguar R5
Zwart has now set his sights on driving his first races in his latest acquisition: his Jaguar R5 Formula 1 from 2004. Mark Webber was the ‘original owner’. Zwart has high expectations of his new car. “I should be able to drive a lap of around 1:24 in my Ascari Benetton at Circuit Park Zandvoort. With the Jaguar, 1:19 is probably a possibility.”
The Jaguar F1 is a new challenge for Zwart. “However, it will only be fun if more cars like this race in the BOSS GP-series. I need to get some serious competition.”

Addicted
Klaas Zwart tends to talk in superlatives when discussing racing in a Formula 1 car. “I am completely addicted,” emphasized Zwart. “Once you have driven a Formula 1 car, it’s impossible to go back to another car. It feels like you’re one with the car and it’s a joy to keep this kind of cars under control. That feeling really is amazing. I can’t come up with anything better than driving a Formula 1 car. That’s the biggest kick there is for me.”

Zwart’s passion is very important for him. “You have to be in a superb condition to do this. That’s why I sport every single day. It’s not only about reacting very fast, but you have to make the right decisions, too. Your brains work at full speed in the BOSS GP-series.”
Racing in a Formula 1 car is keeping him young. “I want to continue racing this kind of cars at least until I turn 75,” ended Zwart.
