Formula 1s, Champcars and Indycars on international circuits as off 2010

BOSS GP, spectacular racing class

As off 2010, a spectacular racing class has been thundering onto the international circuits. In the BOSS GP, brute race monsters from the Formula 1 class go head to head against Champcars, Indycars and World Series by Nissan and Renault. “These series are built on speed, spectacle and noise and will be a true paradise for the drivers as well as for the motor sport fans,” says one of the participating drivers, Marijn van Kalmthout.

The BOSS GP is an initiative of - among others - the Dutch drivers Marijn van Kalmthout, Klaas Zwart, Henk de Boer and Frits van Eerd. These drivers earlier participated in the EuroBOSS series. “There were some financial issues and the circuit-organisers lost faith in these series, as we did,” explains Van Kalmthout. “As we wanted to keep on racing in these tremendous cars and offering the spectators the ultimate motor sport sound and - spectacle, we have started these new series: the BOSS GP. The response we have received so far for this initiative is highly positive. People are eager to come to the circuits to see our fabulous cars with such a great history.”

Race format
The BOSS GP will be unleashed four times every racing weekend. There’s the free practice and the qualification and two races of 20 to 25 minutes. The finish of the first heat will determine the line-up for the second heat. The best five finishing drivers per race will earn respectively 20, 18, 16, 14 and 12 points for the BOSS GP Championship. The number six will receive 10 points and every next driver coming in will get one point less.
